Mrs. Doris M. Taylor, daughter of the late Charlottia Reid and Paul Murphy, was born September 3, 1937 in Wayne County, North Carolina. She went on to be with the Lord on Thursday, August 10 at Wake Medical Center.

Doris worked for Wayne Memorial Hospital as a dietician for numerous years. She loved to be surrounded by her family and friends.

Doris was preceded in death by her husband, Paul E. Taylor, Sr. and son Paul E. Taylor, Jr., sisters Lurene Holden and Virginia Cox, brothers Morris Murphy, Thaddeus Murphy, Walter Lee Murphy, Willie Murphy,  and James (Tunk) Bunn.

Doris leaves to cherish in loving memory her beloved daughter, Valerie Taylor of Montgomery, Alabama and son, Danny Taylor (Christine) of Orlando, Florida; grandchildren Troy Green (Adrienne), Dominique Corker and Danielle Williams; great-grandchildren Makhi Green, Troy Green, Jr., and Taylor Green; sister-in-laws Willie Mae (Petey) Hicks, Patsy Foster, Catherine Taylor and Marjorie Murphy; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
