Kenneth Lamont Williams, son of the late Major Durham,, was born on February 1, 1961 in Wayne County, and entered into eternal rest on Saturday, March 10th at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.
Ken was a graduate of Goldsboro High School class of 1980. He received his bachelor’s degree from the university of Mount Olive in 1991.
Ken was a loyal employee at Cooper Standard Automotive as an accountant for 22 years. He was later employed by Moen Distribution center as an accountant until the time of his death. Ken was also honorably served in the Army and the Army National Guard until his retirement in September 2004.
One of his favorite pastimes was watching sports. His favorite teams were the Dallas Cowboys and Duke Blue Devils. Ken was a proud alumni of Goldsboro High School and served as GHS class treasurer for 10 years, 2005-2015.
He was preceded in death by his father, Major Durham and his brother, James Williams.
Ken leaves to cherish his memories; his loving wife, Tina of Goldsboro, one daughter, Tara, his mother, Alma C. Williams of Goldsboro, four sisters, Dorothy Murrough (the late William Murrough) of Manhattan, NY Maxine Story (the late Bob Story) of Manhattan, NY, Edna Boyd (Mickey) of Roanoke, VA and Jackie Beckwith (Wade) of Dayton, Ohio. One brother, Aaron Williams of Goldsboro, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relative and friends. Ken had a close bond with his childhood friend and classmate Jimmy Cooper, National Guard buddy Jhan Allen, and a faithful neighbor Alexander Mack.
