Demetrice Edmundson was born July 29, 1959 in Fremont North Carolina to the late Mae hazel (Edmundson) Franklin and Winston Exum both of Fremont, NC. She had an awesome early childhood, whereas she was raised combined by her mother, her grandmother, and great grandmother. Therefore, she had a wealth of wisdom past on to her and it manifested in school and in her life.
She attended Wayne County public schools and maintained As and Bs on her academic reports. After graduation from high school, she entered the United States Army, where she served honorably on active duty for 10 years as a Chemical Sergeant. She served her country both in the Unite States and in Europe. She was a proud soldier and enjoyed her time on active duty.
Demetrice was employed at Stanley Commercial in Wilson, North Carolina for 15 years. She withdrew herself from the workforce in 2014 due to health reason. She has always been an outgoing person, full of cheer, and left a lasting impact on everyone she befriends. God has really blessed her to be a blessing to others that really give the true meaning of agape love.
She leaves to mourn and cherish her precious memories her son Marquell Edmundson and his fiancé, Makeba Brown, two grandchildren: Iyanna Christine Lei Edmundson and McKenzie Joi Brown of Simpsonville, South Carolina, a twin brother, Cornelius Edmundson of Pikeville, NC, brother, Leo Franklin & wife Tyeshia Franklin of Greenville, NC, sister, Arneda Gale Sutton of Winterville, NC, sister, Kim Franklin of Wilson, NC, five aunts, five uncles, 5 nieces, 4 nephews. Lastly, Demetrice have three special lifelong friends who will forever cherish her memories, friendship, and love: O’Neal Alston, Belinda (Smith) White, and Michael Washington.
