Emanuel Spruill

Emanuel “Man” Spruill was born on April 24th, 1939 to the late Henry and Pennie Spruill in Wayne County, North Carolina. He completed his earthly life journey on Friday, August 30th, 2019 at Kitty Askins.

Man was a loving husband and devoted father who loved fishing, gardening, and his grandchildren. If you knew him you would know, he never met a stranger and treated everyone as if they were family.

Preceding him in death were his parents, Henry and Pennie Spruill; his five brothers, Nathaniel Spruill (twin), David Spruill, Levi Spruill, June Spruill, and William Spruill; and his two sisters, Nettie B. Spruill Newsome and Geraldine Spruill Ward.

He leaves his beloved wife of 46 years, Patricia Lee Mervin Spruill, to cherish his precious memories along with: one son, Telly Savalas Spruill; one daughter, Tennille Marie Spruill; seven grandchildren, Marquise Deontae Spruill, TaLiyah Chae’onna Newsome, Natassia Monee’ Spruill, Tamarcus Tyrek Jones, Antwan Tyrese Coley, Nashawn Leontae Coley, and Triniti Leigh Spruill; two great grandchildren, Messiah Andrew Faison and Ma’Kiah Monee’ Fisher; one sister, Ruth Spruill Jones; one sister-in-law, Delia Artis Spruill; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.

Professional services have been entrusted to McIntyre Funeral Home, LLC, a Ministry of Excellence.
