Johnnie Coley II Obituary

Johnnie Myris Coley II (affectionately called John II, Bones and then Mercedes Bones) was born on November 30, 1989 to Johnnie Myris Coley and Teresa Simpson in Syracuse, NY. He departed this earthly home on October 31, 2018 in Anson County, NC.

John II obtained his early education in the Public School System in Syracuse NY. He graduated from John Marshall H.S. in Richmond, VA. In 2004, he earned his Associates Degree in Business Management from Centurion College. He received his certification in both HVAC and plumbing; working side by side with his father restoring real-estate properties.  

            John II worked for the Dept. of Transportation as a flagman.  John II grudgingly worked for his dads company, STSEM Handyman Services.  He also volunteered at the New Jerusalem food bank in Rocky Mt., NC on several occasions.

John II loved video games, music, food and having fun. The New England Patriots will always be his favorite football team. John II was a drummer but preferred to hold the microphone. He was very artistic and a passionate musical enthusiast. John II wrote his own lyrics and songs. He even started his own record label; NPS Entertainment.

            Johnnie Myris Coley II was preceded in death by his grand-fathers, Charles Coley and Nathaniel Simpson; two aunts, Sonya Taylor and Carolyn Smiley and two uncles, Terry Coley and James Simpson.

            John II leaves to cherish his memories his 8 year old son Hasani; his father, Johnnie Myris Coley (Sabrina); his mother, Teresa Simpson; his four sisters, Michelle Logan, Dominique Nesmith (Taj), Monica Simpson and Phylicia Coley; two brothers, Maurice Simpson (Tammy) and Eric Sutton, Jr. (Brittany); nephews, Jamarion and Dameon and nieces, Tahela and Taylah; grandfather, Bishop Sylvester Sanders, Sr. and grandmothers, Eunice Smith, Bonnie Simpson and Leila Sanders; one great-grandmother, Mary Lou Benjamin; Godmother, Eloise Benjamin, a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

            John II will forever be remembered for his incomparable sense of humor, loving nature and big heart.
