Wayne Deans, son of the late, Coy Deans, Sr. and Cornelius Adams Deans was born November 14, 1940 in Wayne County, North Carolina. He transitioned to be with the Lord on Monday, June 3, 2019 at his home in Goldsboro, NC. He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers: William, Coy, and Roy Deans; one sister: Lillie Deans. Wayne's early years were spent in Wayne County Public Schools. However, he has lived in Spartanburg, SC, New York City, Newport News/Hampton, VA and Baltimore, MD and Goldsboro, NC.
He is best known as a loving, devoted and compassionate, son, husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother and friend to many. Wayne met his wife, Linda Deloatch Deans, in Newport News, VA. However, throughout his life, he supported his family by working as an auto body and fender repairman and an auto mechanic.
Loving and lasting memories are cherished by his wife, Linda Deloatch Deans, of the home in Goldsboro, NC; two sons: Dwayne Deans (Deborah) of Fort Mill, SC and Terry Deans of Baltimore, MD; his daughters: Theresa Crenshaw of Greenville, NC; Tessa Atkinson (Kenneth) of Goldsboro, NC; Eulynda McCloud (Gregory) of Baltimore, MD; Tammy Deloatch of the home and Sharon Deloatch of Newport News, VA; two sisters: Emma Jacobs (Robert) of Columbia, SC and Doris Artis (Albert) of Lawrenceville, GA; one brother: Ray Deans (Linda) of Ashburn, VA; 13 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, and a special nephew, Rodney Deans, who has provided extra care to him and his family since he has lived in Goldsboro, NC.
