Elder Annie Mae Davis was born on December 15, 1939 to the late Willie Sykes and Pastor Naomi Pearl Buckram. Elder Davis transitioned from this earthly life on April 10, 2020 to be with her heavenly father.
Annie Mae Davis attended Wayne County Public Schools preceding graduation she worked as a caretaker. She was very diligent in ministry. Elder Davis was originally ordained as an Elder and Evangelist as a young adult in her 30’s. She completed Evangelistic Community Outreach Missions for over 45 years and was ordained as a Mother at Philadelphia Community Church under the leadership of Prophet Rodger Taylor. She was later re-acknowledged as an Elder at Life Changing Christian Church under the leadership of Apostle Corey Pigford.
Elder Davis was preceded in death by her parents Willie Sykes and Pastor Naomi Pearl Buckram; children Ronnie Crews and Ricky Lee Brown; siblings Edna, William, Janice, Janet, Daisy, and Derek; great grandchild Reid Martin.
Elder Davis leaves to cherish precious memories to Quaddis (Alvin) Gaines of North Carolina; six siblings Betty Lou Jene (Alonzo) of Decatur, GA, Eronger (Verna) of Raleigh, NC, Paul (Emily) of Knightdale, NC, Howard (Sarah) of Rocky Mount, NC, Linda Faye of Raleigh, NC and Donald Ray (Delia) Copperas of Cove, TX; grandchildren De’Angello Gaines of the home, LaTonya Brown of North Carolina, Sabrina (Lucius) Smith of North Carolina, Reverend Veronica Brown of North Carolina, Tiffany (Robert) Hall of Missouri, Balling Karim of DC, Alvina Gaines of DC, Yasmeka McKinney of NC, Israel Gaines of NC and Ycys Gaines of NC; a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
