Anthony M. Washington

Anthony Marquet Washington affectionately known as “Tony” and “Ant” transitioned from labor to reward on July 19, 2021 at Chatham County Hospital.

Anthony was born on November 29, 1982 to Anthony Daniels and the late Barbara Washington in Wayne County, North Carolina. He attended Wayne County Public Schools and graduated with the Goldsboro High School Class of 2001. He later attended Mitchell’s Hair Styling Academy and received and Associates Degree in Cosmetology.

Tony was a long standing member with Mt. Zion Disciples Church and Greater St. John Free Will Baptist Church. He was employed with Standard Products from 2002-2004, Walmart of Siler City, North Carolina from 2017 until the declining of his health and Cosmetology through his life.

Anthony was preceded in death by his mother Barbara Washington; maternal grandmother Doris Washington; maternal grandfather Erwin Lance Washington, Sr.; one uncle Erwin Lance Washington, Jr.; paternal aunt Carolyn Winbush and two paternal uncles Calvin Earl Daniels and Cedric Daniels.

He leaves to cherish his memories parents Anthony and Eldress Jerri Daniels; siblings James B. (Renyya Long) Washington, Erwin Lance Washington, Gordon Daniels, Jerraye (Wayne) Daniels and Eldress Prishonda Daniels; special sisters and brothers Shayna, Okisha, Jasmine, Pamela, Ashley, Nikia, Missy, Crystal, Akil and Reginald; special nieces and nephews that affectionately called him “Uncum” D.Meyia, CorMera, E’Mani, Bentley and Rhemee; aunts Clarrissa (James) Crawford, Doris (William) Holloman, Nicole Washington, Tammy (Erwin Jr.) Washington, Thomasia Brown and Evelyn Daniels; uncles Eddie (Mildred) Daniels Shipps (Angela) Washington.
