Billy Renaldo Hamm III affectionately known as “BJ” was born on February 3, 1993 in Goldsboro, NC to Kusloshail Thompson and Billy Hamm. BJ peacefully departed this cite on March 7, 2022 in Goldsboro, NC surrounded by his family.
BJ attended Goldsboro City Schools and was a proud member of the Class of 2011. He was a high academic achiever.
Bj worked in several capacities including working in Florida. He was kindhearted and family oriented and valued true friendship. He adored his children, family and friends. He loved family gatherings, taking trips, shopping and posting on Facebook to family and friends. He loved the latest fashion in clothing.
BJ, in his quiet time would always pray. He would talk about how the Lord had brought him through dangerous situations in life and how he was so thankful for all that God has given him.
BJ was preceded in death by his mother Kusloshail R. Thompson Mitchell; grandparents Beverly Ham and Billy Kornegay and one brother Donta Covington.
He leaves a legacy of memories with his children Tristan Rouse and Kharter Hamm; his father Billy Ham; uncle/father Lavarius Thompson; stepfather Christopher Mitchell; grandparents aunt/grandma Minnie Thompson (Min-Min) and Jerry (Deborah) Sykes; sisters Yasnakia Parker, Chrishaunna Mitchell, Courtney Mitchell, Casia Allen and B’asia Butler; brothers T’ Vauyha Young, Renaldo Lofton, Quarmell Crawford, James Ray’s, Tamarcus Lofton, Sonkeem Butler, Hakeem Butler and Steve Brown; a host of aunts, uncles, great and great uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and a special friend and roommate Jahaun Bryant.
