On August 12, 1963, a star was born, in Goldsboro, NC by the name of Christine Lorraine Monroe, who embraced the world with boldness and courage. God allowed
Christine to shine and brighten our world with love for 60 years. She embraced the love of God and accepted Him into her life as her personal Savoir and lived for Him, allowing
Him to lead and guide her throughout her journey of life. On August 20, 2023, God called her home to take her rest with Him eternally. In Heaven.
This lovely lady was the daughter of the late Master Sergeant William A. Monroe and Eleva Monroe to cherish her memories three sisters, Denise Koonce (Alvin), of Kingsland, GA. Catherine Jones, and Teresa Wallace (Joe), all of Goldsboro, North Carolina. Nieces and Nephews as follows: Quentin W. Koonce of Jacksonville, Florida, Brittney Jones of Goldsboro, NC, Eric Koonce of Atlanta, GA, Ashley Jones, Michael Jones, and Jaylon Wallace all of Goldsboro, NC with one great-niece, Aniyah Koonce of Jacksonville, Florida and a host of cousins.
Christine graduated from Eastern Wayne High School in 1982. Attended Wayne Community College and moved on to East Carolina University and graduated with her Bachelor's and received a Master's degree from Capella University. She worked for the state of North Carolina for approximately 20+ years starting at O’Berry Center, Life incorporated, and then the Public School System of Wayne County as a Special Education Teacher.
She attended. The Word Warehouse Church of Goldsboro NC, under the leadership of Apostle Ravonda Jacobs.
