Danny Ray Daniels, affectionately called “BO” was born March 14, 1955 in Goldsboro, NC to Junie and Ruby Best Daniels. Danny departed his earthly walk to eternal rest on September 14, 2019 at Vidant Medical Center in Greenville, NC.
Danny attended Wayne County Public Schools. He worked at the Wayne County Sheltered Workshop for many years. He also worked at Taco Bell & Ollies in Goldsboro and was currently working at The Dollar General in Kinston at the time of his demise.
Danny loved going to Worship Service and could be found at church on Sunday at St. Stephens MBC in his younger years and then at Christ Memorial Church in his latter years, humbly serving in the Kingdom.
Danny was known for his distinctive stride as he walked the streets of Goldsboro. Chocolate cake was his favorite and a cold MT. Dew would always bring a smile to his face. He also spent quality time at the Wayne County Public Library. His gentle personality and loving spirit will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Danny was preceded in death by his parents Junie and Ruby Best Daniels; his paternal grandparents Tom and Sarah Hamilton Daniels; his maternal grandparents Abraham and Hattie Best; three brothers James Edward Best, Albert Michael Daniels “A.M” and Willie Junior Daniels.
Danny leaves to cherish his precious memories one brother Tom Daniels of Goldsboro, NC; one sister Christine Daniels Richardson of Cockeysville, MD and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends and a special caregiver Richard Bradley.
