Darius Atkins was born July 11, 1991 to Linda Armstrong and Tekare Thompson. He transitioned from labor to reward on November 25, 2020.
Darius attended Wayne County Public Schools. He later became an employee of the House of Raeford located in Magnolia, NC. He was employed there at his time of death.
Darius or D-Rock as he was known was a loving and devoted father. He was the best son that a mother could ever ask for and the world’s greatest big brother known passionately by his sisters. He was loved and adored by many and his beautiful smile will forever remain in our hearts.
He leaves to cherish his memories his wife Tara Atkins, his mother Linda Armstrong, his father Tekare Thompson; four children Andriyah Atkins, Jerimah Atkins, Jia’Darian Atkins and Kayson Atkins all of Goldsboro, NC as well as five stepchildren; six sisters Tomesha (Glene) Parks, Mieisha Sheffield, Nicole Sheffield, Stephanie Smith, Angel Stringfield, and T.T. Thompson all of Goldsboro, NC; three brothers Bryon (Kaceia) Thompson, Terryon Adams and Rico Jackson of Goldsboro, NC; three nieces Chyna, Ivy and MyAsia; two nephews Carter and Christopher Simms, Jr. of the home as well as a host of nieces and nephews all on his father’s side.
