Mrs. Christine Smalls attended Sebring High School. Before finishing high school she spent a short time in New Jersey with her uncle. After leaving New Jersey, she moved to Hillsborough County in Tampa, Florida until the early 90’s. Shortly after, she joined the traveling migrant workers with her best friend Ms. Teresa Hall, where they resided in South Carolina together. Christine moved to a worker camp in Goldsboro, North Carolina. They traveled back and forth from South Carolina. She eventually decided to make her home in Mt. Olive, North Carolina, where she met Pastor D. Merritt. She soon decided to give her life to Christ and became a faithful member, where she worked diligently in the ministry as a youth minister, youth choir director, Assistant Adult Choir Director, active member of Wednesday Night Bible Study and Friday night Joy Night. The more work she did for the Lord caused an elevation into Eldress Smalls. She met no strangers. She went in the highways and byways telling everyone the goodness of God. Eldress made it her main priority to visit the sick and elderly.
