Eldress Frances Annette Whitfield

Frances Annette Whitfield was reared in NC to Rev. Chester & Dorothy Mae Hines Ashford. Frances, better known as "Annette" was born February 3, 1960 in Wayne County. She transitioned into the hands of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on January 27,2022. She graduated from Eastern Wayne High School in 1978. 

From Annette's early childhood she faithfully attended and participated in the ministries under her father Rev. Chester Ashford. In 1997 Frances Annette Whitfield joined Greater St. John FWB Church under the leadership of Bishop William A Mitchell Jr. She preached her initial sermon April 27, 1997 and was ordained as an Eldress in Nov 2002. While being a faithful member of Greater St. John, she was an armor bearer for Bishop William A Mitchell Jr & First Lady Myrtle Mitchell. She cleaned the church, was a faithful intercessor prayer warrior on Saturday Mornings, and worked on the Marked for a Miracle Team. She loved the Lord as well as people. Annette worked hard at what she did to make sure it was done in decency and in order. Just going over my mother's life I remembered as a child, how she enjoyed dressing and being unique in her own way. Without a doubt there was a hat, a pair of shoes and a wig to go with every outfit. No matter what she did she always put God first. A few of her favorite places was B& G Grill & Western Sizzlin. Annette never met a stranger and wherever she went she touched many lives. She was a real good actress as a Gospel Comedian known as " Beulah Mae Boykins" and she really made you laugh. Annette has so many friends that there are too many to name. She worked at Wayne Memorial Hospital in Central Transport, janitor services for Dr.'s offices, & private CNA duty work for the elderly. She leaves to cherish a loving husband of 22yrs Deacon Frank T Whitfield. Two daughters KaTeia J Hagans and Didtrea S Howell.
