Emmuel Simmons age 62 departed his earthly life on Wednesday, April 6th of 2016 at Kitty Askins Hospice Center of Goldsboro, NC.

Emmuel was born to the late Cyrus Simmons and Ruth Betts on March 18, 1954.

He received his education in the Wayne County Public School System, where he attended and graduated from Southern Wayne High School in 1972. Mr. Simmons continued his education at Wayne Community College and graduated with a degree in Art.

During his working years,  Emmuel served in the United States Marine Corps as an Aviation Mechanic from 1972-1976. Emmuel was employed at AP Parts for 23 years, where he held a supervisor position for 16 years. He was a correctional office for The Wayne Correctional Center for 6 months and was also employed by Firestone in Wilson, NC for 7 years.

Mr. Simmons was preceded in death by his wife Bertha Simmons; his father Cyrus Simmons; and his mother Ruth Betts.

He leaves to cherish his dear memories to two brothers Smitty of Greenville, NC and Raymond of Goldsboro, NC; five sisters Diane Gervin, Lorrain, Shirlee, Gloria, and Bernice of Goldsboro, NC; four nieces April (Simeon) Rodgers, Evelyn, Gracie, and Michelle; a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
