Hattie Denise Croom was born January 13, 1961 to the late Carvester Simmons, Sr. and Mary Elizabeth Simmons. She departed this earthly life to ascend to glory on October 30, 2024.
Neisy grew up in Mt. Olive, NC and began her formal education in the Wayne County Public School System. She graduated from Southern Wayne High School in 1979. For several years she was employed by Allied Department Stores as District Manager. She later started working for Country Pines Inc. Assisting individuals with special needs she provided lots of love, support and guidance.
Neisy enjoyed playing golf and traveling with her special friend. She also enjoyed decorating and shopping. Neisy was very fashionable and staying abreast on the latest fashion and trends.
She leaves to cherish her loving memories to her two sons Jamoan Tyree Gills and Jevon Montay Gills of Raleigh, NC; two grandchildren Dejah Nicole Gills and Breonna Yvonne Gills of Clayton, NC; one sister Shirley E. (Chester) Cox of Goldsboro, NC; four brothers Harry L. (Connie) Simmons of Mt. Olive, NC, Minister Preston L. (Cheri) Simmons of Temecula, CA, Dannyray Simmons of Mt. Olive, NC and Gregory Simmons of Goldsboro, NC; two aunts Dorothy (Joseph) King of Mt. Olive, NC and Barbara Agard of Corona, NY; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Now Neisy has her wings along with her parents Carvester Simmons, Sr. and Mary Elizabeth Simmons; son Dacole Simmons; sister Lisa C. Young; brothers Anthony Simmons, Larry D. Simmons and Carvester Simmons, Jr.
