James O. Edwards

James O. Edwards was born 9/11/1935 in Wayne County to the late Offie Collin Edwards and Calina Core Edwards. He transitioned from his earthy body on April 13, 2020 at 9:30 pm at Willow Creek Nursing home in Goldsboro NC.

He attended Central School. At an early age he joined Mt. Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church and continued as a member until his health failed.

James leaves to cherish his memories one sister Dorothy Edwards Walker of Goldsboro NC, 3 brothers, Lewis Edwards (Della) of Dudley, Sherman Edwards (Carolyn) of Lagrange NC, and Dr. Mathew Edwards (Glenda) of New Market, AL, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother, father, brother (Jasper Edwards), sister (Mary     Odessa Williams), niece (Dorothy Sims) and nephew (Eugene Edwards).
