John H. McIntyre Jr. was born on September 2, 1951 in Goldsboro, NC to the late Ednaree(King) McIntyre and the late John H. McIntyre Sr.   He is survived by his wife, Janice McIntyre (Hillsborough, NC) a son, John H. McIntyre III (Seattle, WA), two grandchildren, Sphere Isaac and Pi Shawn, a brother, Elston McIntyre (Goldsboro, NC) and a sister, Regina McIntyre (Ylonda) (Durham, NC).

John is a member of the Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity.  He is a graduate of NC A&T State University.  After graduation, he work for IBM in the Hudson Valley of New York State and Danbury, Connecticut as an Electrical Engineer /Project Manager.  He retired from IBM and worked for a short time at Triangle BioSystems in Durham, NC as Project Manager/Vice President of Manufacturing. 

John was affectionately called “Johnny” or “John Jr” by his family and those who grew up with him in Goldsboro.  He enjoyed playing golf and spent as much time as possible golfing with his friends and family.  He also enjoyed spending time at the beach and hanging out with his grandchildren as well as completing the daily Sudoku.

He touched many lives and will be greatly missed.
