Lamont Manolito Pride was born to the late Delores M. and James Pride, Jr. in Goldsboro, North Carolina on September 18, 1968.
He was called home from labor to rest on October 29, 2022.
Lamont attended Southern Wayne High School of Dudley, North Carolina with the Class of 1987.
He was a hard worker. He worked many jobs from Case Farms, Uchiyama, Franklin Bakery and Georgia Pacific of Dudley, North Carolina where he was employed at the time pf his passing.
Lamont was a person that loved life and having a good time. He was a person that kept to himself mostly, but had a small circle of friends that he embraced. He called a friend “someone that sat at his kitchen table”.
Lamont gave his life to the Lord August 14, 2022 in the midst of family and friends. One of his favorite gospel songs was “He saw the Best in me” by Marvin Sapp.
He leaves to cherish memories to his children Brittanie N’Jai Faison of Atlanta Georgia, Lamont Manolito Pride II and Chanel Callier of New Jersey; two sisters Rose (Carl) Parks of Seven Springs, Cynthia (Christopher) Williams of Goldsboro; James E. (Beatrice) Pride of Williamsburg, VA, Michael (Diana) Pride of Burlington, NC, Franklin Pride of Mt. Olive, NC and John (Tomeka) McDaniel of Goldsboro, NC; one granddaughter ZaNyre Cleo Elizabeth-Rose Blackmon; a significant friend Tameki King, close cousin Shands McCoy; two uncles, a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, great nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
