Leslie Lee Middleton, 76, of Dudley, NC, peacefully transitioned from this life to eternal life, March 18, 2021 at Vidant Health, Greenville, NC.
Leslie (aka Les) was born Nov. 13, 1944 in Goldsboro, NC to the late Florentino Wynn Sr. and Dorothy Mae Middleton McIntyre. Les was raised in the home of his mother Dorothy Mae and stepfather James Edward (Babyface) McIntyre with 5 other siblings.
Les received his education in the Wayne County Schools. At the age of 18, he enlisted into the Marine Corp and served over two years with service in Vietnam. Upon leaving the service he worked custodial services and brick masonry.
Les had an infectious charismatic personality and would meet any stranger at the drop of a hat. His fun-loving spirit would lead him to the meet and marry his wife of over 11 years, Mary (Faye) Armwood.
If you knew Les, he enjoyed telling jokes and stories of his many adventures throughout his life. He was a great man of the house always faithful to cook and clean, with yard work as his 2nd main thing.
Les kept a quiet strength and joy in the Lord ruled for him. He gave his life to the Lord Jesus Christ and was a faithful member of Church of Deliverance Ministries in Mt Olive, where he served as deacon and worked in many areas throughout the ministry. He loved talking about the Word of God and would often share his spiritual journey.
He is preceded in death by, his parents Dorothy Mae McIntyre and Florentino Wynn Sr. and stepfather James Edward (Babyface) McIntyre; sisters Patricia Edna Mae King; Gloria Jean Lewis; and Melanie Eason Holmes; brothers Edward Earl McIntyre (Richard); apostle D. L. McIntyre; Florentino Wynn Jr.; and Ronnie Wynn.
Les leaves to cherish his most loving and precious memories to his wife, Mary (Faye) Armwood Middleton; one daughter; Lawrencina Dozier Jackson of Lakeland, FL; two stepdaughters; Min. Angela Frazier of Smithfield, NC, and Min. Melissa Frazier of Waynesboro, NC, one stepson, Travis Rozier of Atlanta, GA; 11 grandchildren; and 14 great grandchildren; stepmother Doris Wynn of Hamden, CT; mother-in-law; Ella Holloway of NYC; one brother, Ricky Wynn of Hamden, CT; three sister-in-laws; Diane McIntyre (Late apostle D.
