Lillie Bell McDuffie Walker was born February 10, 1950 to John and Janie Bell Miller in Goldsboro, North Carolina. She transitioned Sunday, December 22, 2019 at her home surrounded by her loved ones in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Lillie was preceded in death by parents John Miller and Janie Bell McCoy; two brother Tyes Miller and Willie Witherspoon; son Timothy (Bernice) McDuffie.
Lillie was raised in Goldsboro, North Carolina and received former education Wayne County Public Schools and was a graduate of Dillard High School. She also attended Wayne Community College. She entered the workforce and gained employment with O’Berry Center in Goldsboro, North Carolina.
Lillie Bell joined St. Mark at an early age under pastoralship of Bishop J.L Melvin served in different ministries. Lillie later moved to Charlotte, North Carolina and joined New Life Church under the pastoralship of John P. Kee. She was a mother of the ministry in different ministerial capacities.
She leaves to cherish her memories two daughters Julia (Forest) and Terrilyn of Goldsboro, sons James (Mary) McDuffie, Ronnie McDuffie all of Charlotte, North Carolina; Alphonso (Joann), of Goldsboro, North Carolina and Jerry McDuffie of Winston Salem, North Carolina; sisters Johnnie Easley, Janet Miller, Angeline (Ronnie) Jackson all of Goldsboro, North Carolina; one brother John Earl (Tonya) McCoy of Mebane, Florida; two aunts Virginia Pearson and Lottie Witherspoon of Tuberville, South Carolina; host of grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren, a host of nieces , nephews, other relatives and friends.
