Lucinda Davis McKoy better known as Cindy by family and friends was born on September 15, 1970 in Mt. Vernon, New York. She was born to the late Willie E. Davis and Jeanette Roberts. Cindy departed this life on Monday at home surrounded by family.
Cindy moved to Raleigh at a young age with her family. She attended Wake County Schools and graduated from Millbrook High in 1988. She worked as a Nurse Assistant for over 24 years in various places. Cindy’s most recent employment was with Wilson Medical Center until her health declined.
Cindy was a devoted wife and mother. She enjoyed attending church every chance she could go to serve the Lord. Cindy had a passion for taking pictures, cooking big meals for the holidays and listening to gospel music. She really loved her family, because making memories with loved ones was everything to her. In closing her grandkids, the air she breathed, they were meant the world to her. Cindy was one of the sweetest people you could ever meet, always sharing with others. She will be missed by many.
Cindy was preceded in death by her father Willie E. Davis and her mother in law Nettie L. McKoy.
She leaves to cherish her memories husband Allen; sons Terrance (Tierra), daughter in law, Lamaj, Marcus, Marquail, mother Jeanette Roberts’ sisters Nwenna, Wadiya; grandkids Terrance, Trenton, Serenity; Godmother Gracie Pullian; four sisters in law; two brothers in law and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
