Manuel Jackson, Jr (Jack) was born in New Orleans, Louisiana on August 5, 1948, to the late Mr. Manuel Jackson Sr. and Mrs. Henrietta Sullen Jackson and was raised in New Orleans. He departed this earthly life on Thursday, March 7, 2019 at his home in Goldsboro, North Carolina
Manuel attended L B Landry High School in New Orleans, LA. He served in the U.S Airforce as a munitions specialist and is a Vietnam Veteran. He retired from CP&L. He is a member and past worshipful master of the CS Brown Lodge No. 782. Jack grew up playing baseball and earned the nick name Sach from team mates and family. He enjoyed bowling, fishing, and helping anyone he could whenever he could.
He was preceded by his wife Belva Greenfield Jackson and his brother Burnell Jackson
Those left to cherish his loving and precious memories: his four children; Sean Greenfield (Cecilia), Tawanna Jackson Sutton (Terraine), Ravonda Jackson, and Manuel Trimone Jackson; six brothers and sisters; Harold Jackson (Lee Ester), Raymond Jackson(Janice), Richard Jackson(Kim), Yvonne Jackson (Melvin), Elder Milton Jackson, and Elaine Jackson; his mother in-law, Ruthie B. Greenfield, brother in-law, Timothy Greenfield; nine grandchildren; Kalisha, Cierra Dejiah, Erykah, Emone, Jamie, Manuel Dazmon, Chanin and Sean; his NC family the Darden and Coley family; and host of nephews, nieces, cousins, other relatives and friends.
