On Thursday, September 4, 2025 at 2:25pm Marie Faye Armwood Greenfield departed this life for a home with no more sickness.
Marie (Faye) was born in Duplin County, June 3, 1946 to Samuel and Hattie Mae McKinney Armwood. She attended Duplin County Public Schools. She worked for Rose Hill Chicken Plant and later retired from Sunbridge Nursing Home.
She was a faithful member of St. John Original Free Will Baptist Church of Beautancus, North Carolina. She was a member of the Choir but found her passion as an usher.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Samuel and Hattie Armwood; two brothers Charles and Larry Armwood; two grandchildren Nyla Griffin and Aiden Rich.
She leaves to cherish her loving memory her husband Napolean Greenfield; two sons and two daughters Evertette Brinson Jr., Ingrid Brinson, Sharetta Herder, David Randolpn (Octavious); eleven grandchildlren Melanie, Dallas, Shoniece, Lonell (Rico), Shideja, Raequan, Jaheem, Anthony, Miraculous, Nevaeh, Anayah; two sisters and one brother; Ann Jones, Annette Armwood and Samuel Armwood (Erma); fifteen great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
Marie will be remembered for her loving herat, and her signature punch bowl cake! She will be deeply missed by the many lives God allowed her to touch and her memory will live on in their hearts.
