Norman Eugene Morrisey Jr., 61, Formerly of Goldsboro, died Monday at Northside Hospital of Atlanta Georgia. Norman was born in Wayne County on April 22, 1955 to Norman Eugene Sr. and Irene Morrisey.

Norman E. Morrisey Jr. was a Vietnam veteran who served 1973 through 1976. Norman also served as a probation officer for the state of Georgia’s Fulton County Juvenile Justice Systems. Norman dedicated most of his time to his local community as a mentor.  

He achieved several goals that he set for himself and received many accolades. Norman attended Goldsboro High School and graduated in 1973. He is also a graduate of Wayne Community College class of 1984 with an Associate degree in Applied Science.

Norman leaves to cherish his precious memories with his wife Joann; son Corey; daughter Brittney; family acquaintance Melba Smith; in addition to his sisters, brothers, cousins, nieces, nephew, and friends. A life well lived with love and laughter.
