Norwood V. Davis

Norwood Van Davis better known as Bill departed this earthly realm on February 10, 2024 at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center, Fayetteville, NC. He was born to the late Thero Davis and Effie Mae Davis of Goldsboro, NC. He is a 1961 graduate of Dillard High School, Goldsboro, NC.

He joined the United States Army on February 25, 1969 and retired March 31, 1989, serving 20 years receiving a Bronze Star Medal for Meritorious Achievement in Grand Operations Against Hostile Forces.

Bill enjoyed watching game shows, sports and playing bingo. He also enjoyed attending his class reunions and loved children.

Bill is survived by two sisters Edna and Carolyn Davis of Goldsboro and a host of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife Edna Ruth Davis; his parents; Sisters Melba, Bessie and Effie Ruth Davis. We were so blessed to have him in our lives for 82 years.
