She savored her final breath, drinking in the sweet scent of magnolia and not thinking, even for one moment, about the mess in the kitchen.
Ms. Ruby M. Bush, age 62, of Goldsboro, NC passed away Thursday, October 27, 2022 at Wayne UNC Health Care while surrounded by her loving family.
Ms. Ruby was preceded in death by her father Willie James Oates, brother Tyrone Fredrick and sister Julie Faye Oates. She leaves to cherish her memories her daughter Latoya (Antonio) Bush; mother Alice Parker; grandchildren Keniya, Aniylah and Ameir; sisters Gloristeen Oastes of Goldsboro and Sandra Wheeler of Dudley, NC; brothers Willie (Joy) Oates Jr. of Atlanta, GA, Samuel (Bonita) Oates of Mt. Olive, Thomas (Kesha) Oates of Dudley, NC, Jonah Oates of Goldsboro and John (Sandra) Oates of Princeton, NC; two aunts, one uncle and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
