Ruthie B. (Bell) Greenfield

Ruthie B. Greenfield was born on February 16, 1925 in Goldsboro, North Carolina. She was the
daughter of the late Lee and Lola Best Bell. She passed quietly into eternal sleep at Kitty Askins Hospice Center in Goldsboro, North Carolina.

Ruthie B joined Best Grove Missionary Baptist Church at a young age where she learned to
love, help, and care for others. She would do whatever necessary to take care of her family and
people she cared for no matter who you were. She was the wife of a farmer and they provided
summer jobs to children of the community, while instilling work ethics in them. She was a former
employee of Cherry Hospital from which she retired in 1985. She also worked at First Academy
Daycare where she cared for a host of children. She was well known and respected in the Best
Grove community.
She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great great grandmother, sister,
aunt, and friend to many. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
She was preceded by her husband John Henry, daughter Belva (Bell), son-in-law Manuel (Jack),
daughter-in-law Cecilia, brothers: Raymond, Willbert (Cap), John Ade, Miller, sisters: Mary,
Ethel, Eula Mae, and Ethelene.
Those left to cherish her loving and precious memory: her son Timothy, her four grandchildren:
Sean, Tawanna, Ravonda, and Manuel (Trimone). Ten great grandchildren: Kalisha, Cierra,
Dejiah, Erykah, Emone’, Jamie, Dazman, Chanin, Jacob, and Sean. Two great great
grandchildren: Giovanni and Kannon, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are
called according to his purpose (Romans 8:28)

The Greenfield Family will gather at 184 Hare Rd. Goldsboro, NC 27534 no later than 10:15 A.M. to process to Best Grove Missionary Baptist Church for 11:00 A.M. Funeral Services. The Funeral Procession will be departing from the residence by about 10:35 A.M.
