Tony was preceded in death by his parents and brother Quinton Lee Best.
He graduated from Goldsboro High School in 1985. He attended NC Agricultural and Technical State University (NC A&T). He worked at Mt. Olive Pickle Plant as Time Keeper in Case Up for years, until his health declined.
Tony was a devoted brother, uncle and cousin. He had a heart of gold. He was never afraid to ask for what he wanted, would share his opinion, and tell you like it was. He was smart, funny, courageous and giving. Tony could fix a computer without any formal training. He was an avid movie buff and loved reading.
Tony is survived by his sisters, Rhonda F. Lofton, Lisa B. Sutton (Michael), his forever sister-in-law, LaVonnda Best (North Augusta, SC), Jahmiel B. Ford (nephew/Lake Elsinore, CA), Amiyah J. Ford (great-niece), Joel S. Ford (great-nephew), Shanequa L. Lofton (niece), Danae B. Webb (Thomas) (niece/Nashville, Tennessee), Michael D. Sutton, II (nephew), Sydney Best (niece/North Augusta, SC), Joshua Best (nephew/North Augusta, SC), Ethel M. Baker (aunt), Leonard Ford (uncle/Dallas, Tx), Obie Ford, Jr. (uncle), Retha Jackson (aunt/Baltimore, MD), Special cousins – Michael D. Baker (Ayanna), Regina B. King (Billy), and a host of cousins and long time friends.
