On February 5,1974 God blessed William S. Smith, Jr. and Geraldine Dobson Smith with a baby boy. William was the first child born from their union. He was educated in the Wayne County Public School System.
Jun-Jun as his family affectionately called him enjoyed working out, fishing, grilling, and spending time with his family and friends. He served in the Army for three years and worked for Mt. Olive Pickle Company for 25 years. He brought joy and laughter to everyone around him.
He was preceded in death by his father, brother Eric L. Smith, his maternal grandparents and paternal grandparents.
He leaves to cherish his memories his wife of 24 years Sandra Ann Smith, his four sons, Alex Mathis (Kimly), Spontane Jackson, Elijah Jackson all of Clinton, NC and Devin Smith of Durham, NC. His mother Geraldine Burgess and sister Regina Brehon both of Mount Olive, NC. A mother in law Evangelist Lula Lee. Four aunts and three uncles. Five grandchildren who loved and adored their Papa. A host of nieces and nephews who looked to him as a father figure. Several special family members and friends.
