Willie Devon (Effectionately called Willie Bill) Wynn, son of the late Roosevelt Wynn and Fannie Mae Johnson Wynn, was born in Wayne County, North Carolina on December 29, 1948. He was called home on  Monday, March 27, 2017 at his home.

Willie was a graduate of Carver High School Class of 1967.

Upon graduation, he worked as a welder for 34 years at Waukesha.

 

He is survived by one son: Maurice Kornegay, three daughters: Terri, Shenita and Renita Wynn, all of Goldsboro, NC.

He was preceded in death by  his  wife, Wilda Faye Wynn, his parents and five siblings: George (Aquilla), Kenneth (Mary), Leverion (Carol), Tracy Wynn (Claude) Jones, and Henry L. Mary (Pat),  one nephew, Kenneth Wynn, Jr.

 

Willie leaves countless loving memories to be cherished by all who knew him including 11 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren; and six siblings: Dwight (Margaret) Anthony (Doreatha), Alice (Wiley) Mozingo,  Demetris (Sheila), Sharon (Larry) Hardy of Dudley and Nona Faye (Russell) Robbins of Goldsboro NC. Also cherishing his memories are his three uncles, seven aunts, and a host of nieces, nephews and countless others. Special acknowledgements to nephew Israel Wynn and the Young family.

 

Willie loved welding and building things. He had a love of old westerns and sports. Willie loved life and people with his generosity and beautiful spirit.  He was a special man who made his children laugh and smile everyday. He also enjoyed grilling and spending time with his family.

Willie never said goodbye, he'd always say "Tally Ho"
